Lahore (TASSAWAR NEWS) Pakistan’s digital landscape is expanding rapidly, with the number of social media users surpassing 51.6 million, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The surge highlights how social platforms are now central to communication, entertainment, and news consumption across the country.
Facebook leads the pack with 101.6 million users, making it the dominant platform in Pakistan. YouTube follows with 96.6 million, thanks to its unmatched grip on video streaming.
In messaging, WhatsApp tops the charts with 91.7 million active users, serving as the nation’s primary communication tool. Meanwhile, TikTok continues to rise, ranking fourth with 90.3 million users, especially popular among the youth.
Other platforms show mixed performance: Snapchat has 79.8 million users, Instagram records 49.9 million, while X (formerly Twitter) trails far behind with only 15.3 million users.
Analysts say this growth marks new opportunities for businesses, advertisers, and content creators to engage with a massive online audience. With more Pakistanis joining the digital space every day, the role of social media in shaping public opinion, culture, and commerce is set to grow even further.
