(TASSAWAR NEWS) – Rising television star Komal Meer has spoken candidly about the emotional toll of body shaming and public criticism, revealing how deeply the harsh remarks affected her.
In a recent TV appearance, the actress admitted that constant negativity often left her in tears. “To be very honest, it did take a toll on me,” she said, adding that while online trolling was hurtful, comments from friends and acquaintances were even more painful.
“I expected empathy and understanding from people I knew, but instead, they added to my pain,” she shared. “Even now, I still get messages about my weight gain.”
Komal disclosed that several friends advised her to release a video explaining the reasons behind her weight gain. However, she resisted, questioning why she should have to justify her personal life. “Whatever I say, they won’t believe it,” she remarked.
Despite the ongoing pressure, Komal continues to rise in her career, with her honesty striking a chord with fans. Many have praised her for addressing an often taboo subject in Pakistan’s entertainment industry and for encouraging discussions about body image, empathy, and societal expectations of women in the spotlight.
