Mumbai (TASSAWAR NEWS) – The Indian television industry was struck with grief on Sunday following the death of actress Priya Marathe, who passed away at the age of 38 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
According to local media, Priya breathed her last at her residence in Mumbai. She had been fighting cancer for several years.
Priya Marathe was widely recognized for her performances in several Hindi and Marathi dramas and was admired for her exceptional acting skills. She married fellow actor Shantanu in 2012.
Reports further revealed that due to her illness, Priya had not been active on Instagram since 2024. Her last post, shared on 11 August 2024, featured pictures with her husband.
Members of the entertainment industry and fans alike expressed deep sorrow and condolences over her untimely passing.
