Attempt to Incite Civil War in Pakistan, Warns Rana Sanaullah

Lahore (TASSAWAR NEWS)– Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said that climate change is impacting the entire world and this year Pakistan witnessed unprecedented levels of water. The rivers Sutlej and Ravi, which had previously dried up, received a massive flow of water.

He highlighted that the government worked as a united team, ensuring minimum loss of lives. “Millions of people were evacuated. Had the government not stayed alert, the damage could have been far greater,” he added.

Responding to a question, Rana Sanaullah warned that attempts are being made to trigger a civil war in Pakistan. He said such efforts were evident on May 9 as well as on the 24th and 26th of recent months. He stressed:

“Civil war will never be allowed in Pakistan. Such unrest threatens the sovereignty and stability of the state.”

He further emphasized that no group or faction should be allowed to destabilize the country and must be dealt with strictly.

On another question, he recalled that the tenure of the Army Chief was once set at four years before it was reduced to three years.
