Dublin/Zurich (TASSAWAR NEWS) – A shocking incident has emerged where a 58-year-old Irish woman, Maureen Sla, ended her life in Switzerland using a specially designed assisted suicide pod.
According to international media reports, the woman paid more than $20,000 (approx. 5.8 million PKR) to a company providing assisted suicide services.
Before her death, Maureen told her family that she was going on a holiday to Lithuania, but in reality, she traveled to Switzerland. Two of her close friends were aware of her plan and later informed her daughter that she had gone to use the suicide pod.
The very next day, her daughter received a WhatsApp message stating that her mother had passed away, and that the body would be returned within 6–8 weeks.
Reports further revealed that Maureen had secretly applied to the assisted suicide company months earlier, making all arrangements quietly before her final journey.
