Lahore: In a historic moment for Pakistan’s combat sports, eight Pakistani fighters secured their spots for the upcoming World MMA Championship in Georgia during Pakistan Combat Night: The Battle of Truth. Additionally, five more athletes earned places in the Road to Brave 100 and the World Championship in Bahrain.
The electrifying event was organized by the Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PAKMMAF) in collaboration with the Government of Punjab. A jam-packed stadium roared with enthusiasm, rivaling the passion usually seen at cricket matches.
Fighters from Islamabad shined at the Pakistan Open MMA Championship, with Abdul Muan, Moiz Satti, Siddiq Ullah, Ayan Hussain, Shahab Ali, and Sajid Katoushi delivering outstanding performances to qualify for the IMMAF World Championship in Georgia.
Speaking on the occasion, PAKMMAF President Umar Ahmed said:
“MMA is not just a sport, it is a cultural force that has the power to strengthen and transform the social fabric of Pakistan.”
