Momina Iqbal Slams Politicians for Shooting Content in Flood-Hit Areas

(TASSAWAR NEWS) – Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has lashed out at political figures for turning flood-affected areas into social media content spots instead of focusing on relief efforts.

Taking to Instagram, the actress criticized politicians who arrive at flood-hit regions with camera crews, shoot videos for social media, and then leave shortly afterward.

 “Politicians Have Become Influencers”

In a sarcastic note, Momina addressed TikTokers, YouTubers, and fellow actors, saying:

“Please leave your platforms, because our politicians have now joined social media – and their content creators and cameramen are doing a better job than us.”

Expressing frustration, she wrote that politicians usually spend just 10 to 15 minutes in affected areas and then disappear, questioning:

“How can such people protect us?”

Politicians Living in Comfort

Momina added that politicians live comfortably in luxurious mansions while ordinary people, who build their homes and crops with years of blood and sweat, are left devastated by floods.

She said, “They will never understand the pain of a common man whose house has been washed away, whose crops have been destroyed, and who is forced to live despite being broken inside.”

 Fans Support Her Bold Stand

Her bold statement sparked widespread appreciation on social media, with fans agreeing that politicians should prioritize relief work over photo opportunities.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, actress and singer Arifa Siddiqui also shared a video showing her house damaged by floodwater.
