Karachi (TASSAWAR NEWS): Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to adopt a joint strategy for the prevention and control of drug trafficking.
Lieutenant General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Interior Minister, visited the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters in Rawalpindi along with a 10-member delegation. The delegation was warmly received by Director General ANF, Major General Abdul Mueed Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), along with senior staff officers.
Secretary Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, Captain (R) Khurram Agha, and Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, were also present during the visit.
DG ANF gave a comprehensive briefing to the Bahraini Interior Minister on ANF’s operational achievements, training programs, and ongoing initiatives to reduce drug demand in the country.
Major General Abdul Mueed emphasized that despite limited resources and manpower, ANF continues to play an effective role against drug trafficking not only at the national level but also on the international front.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the Bahraini Interior Minister appreciated ANF’s professional performance and reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in counter-narcotics efforts.
