Lahore (TASSAWAR NEWS) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a landmark initiative to cover not only cricket-related training but also the educational expenses of young cricketers.
According to sources, PCB will provide both cricket training and formal education for players from Under-15 to Under-19 levels. The youngsters will be accommodated in academies throughout the year, with the board covering all educational costs.
Players will receive education and cricket training at academies in Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, and Karachi. The Sialkot academy will be dedicated exclusively to Under-15 players year-round, Faisalabad will cater to Under-17 players, while Multan academy will focus on Under-19 cricketers. Selection for these academies will be based on performances in regional cricket.
PCB will bear all expenses, including school and college admissions, along with full educational costs of enrolled players. Meanwhile, the Karachi academy has been designated for Pakistan women cricketers, Shaheens, and A-team activities.
