Lahore (TASSAWAR NEWS) – Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, has announced the decision to host the largest women’s sports event in Punjab’s history. The Pink Games will be organized in the last week of October, bringing together thousands of female athletes from across the province.
A high-level meeting chaired by the Minister was attended by Sports Secretary Muzaffar Khan Siyal and DG Sports Khizr Afzal Chaudhry. During the briefing, the Minister revealed that:
- More than 3,000 female athletes will participate.
- Millions of rupees worth of cash prizes will be awarded.
- Indoor and outdoor sports competitions will be part of the event.
- Teams from all divisions of Punjab will take part.
He emphasized that the scope of sports disciplines is being expanded this year to make the Khelta Punjab Pink Games a landmark initiative.
The Minister further said:
“Historic steps are being taken to provide youth with sporting opportunities. Pink Games will serve as a milestone in showcasing the talent of our young women athletes.”
He added that the Punjab government is fully committed to reviving playgrounds, promoting healthy activities, and ensuring maximum resources for the growth of sports. The Minister also directed officials to launch a strong social media registration campaign for the event.
