Trump Urges European Nations to Stop Buying Fuel from Russia

Washington (TASSAWAR NEWS) U.S. President Donald Trump has urged European countries to stop purchasing fuel from Russia if they want to help end the ongoing war in Ukraine. He also advised European leaders to increase economic pressure on China to block Moscow’s support.

Speaking to European leaders, Trump stressed that the money Europe pays for Russian oil and gas is being used to finance the war in Ukraine. He revealed that in just one year, Russia earned over one billion euros from energy sales to Europe.

The President further suggested that Europe must adopt a united stance by cutting energy dependence on Russia and pushing China economically to weaken Moscow’s backing.

Earlier, in a phone interview with an American TV channel, Trump reiterated his commitment to achieving a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, though he admitted that the chances of direct negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents remain uncertain.
