Sydney (Dunya News) – Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has raised his voice in support of Palestinians, urging Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to impose further sanctions on Israel.
During his meeting with the Prime Minister, Khawaja demanded that trade with Israel should be suspended until a ceasefire is enforced in Gaza. He stressed that the killing of innocent children and starvation must end immediately. He further stated that restrictions should continue on Israel until humanitarian aid is allowed into Gaza and atrocities are stopped.
Usman Khawaja added that Australia cannot engage in trade with any country that disregards human rights and international law. He also mentioned that after raising his concerns about Gaza, he would next speak about the issue of gambling in sports.
